Clear Hills Watershed Initiative: protecting the County's water resources
Our Goals:
  • To educate the public on water concerns and how to improve usage.
  • To protect the quality and quantity of water found within the County as best as possible, as well as wildlife (including fish) that depends upon this resource.
  • To address potential water concerns stemming from, but not limited to industrial, forestry and agricultural practices.
  • To establish a baseline for water quality and quantity. This includes surface drinking water (dugouts) used widely in the County.
  • To determine problem areas and how best to address them, as well as determine special areas that should be protected.
  • To examine common practices and see how best to improve them.
  • To develop partnerships with other watershed groups in the area and work with them to maintain quality water. Partnerships also include working with the Clear Hills County office and the village of Hines Creek.
